Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what data KidiSafe (hereinafter "We", "the App") collects from users and how it is protected.

KidiSafe is a parental monitoring tool. It must be installed on the child's device by a parent or legal guardian with the child's knowledge. Covert installation is prohibited.

By downloading or using the KidiSafe application, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

What data is collected?

KidiSafe collects only the following data for child safety purposes:

• GPS location — latitude, longitude, accuracy, speed (with parental consent)
• Call information — phone number, call direction (incoming/outgoing/missed), duration in seconds, timestamp. Collected via Android phone state listener — the call log is never accessed.
• Incoming message notifications — sender name and notification text visible in the notification bar from SMS and messaging apps. Collected via Notification Listener Service. Full message history and outgoing messages are not accessed.
• App usage — which applications are opened and when. Collected via Android Usage Stats API (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS permission).
• Battery level and charging status
• Device information — Android ID, device model, OS version, app version
• Telegram bot ID — for sending safety alerts to the parent

What is NOT collected

KidiSafe explicitly does not collect the following:

• Full SMS or call log history (READ_SMS and READ_CALL_LOG permissions are not used)
• Outgoing SMS content
• Passwords, banking information, or payment data
• Content from banking or payment apps (Kapitalbank, Click, Payme, etc. are excluded)
• Keystrokes or clipboard content
• Photos, videos, or files stored on the device

System permissions and services used

• ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION — GPS location tracking
• READ_PHONE_STATE — detecting call state (ringing, active, ended)
• RECORD_AUDIO — optional call audio recording (only when enabled by parent)
• PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS — monitoring which apps are opened and their usage duration
• Notification Listener Service — reading incoming message notification content from SMS and messaging apps
• CAMERA — optional remote photo capture (only when triggered by parent)

How is data stored?

All data is transmitted over an encrypted channel (HTTPS/TLS). Data is stored on servers located within the Republic of Uzbekistan and is not transferred outside the country. Data is never shared with third parties, advertising companies, or government agencies (except as required by law).

Data retention periods

We retain each type of data for the minimum period necessary:

• GPS location data — stored for 30 days, then automatically deleted
• Call information — stored for 30 days, then automatically deleted
• Message notification content — stored for 30 days, then automatically deleted
• App usage logs — stored for 30 days, then automatically deleted
• Battery and device data — stored for 7 days, then automatically deleted
• Account data (parent ID, license key) — retained until account deletion is requested

After account deletion, all associated data is permanently removed from our servers within 7 business days. We do not retain any data after this period.

User rights

• Right to view and delete your data
• Right to uninstall the app and erase all data from the server
• Option to opt out of data collection
• Right to be notified of changes to this Privacy Policy

Children's data

KidiSafe collects children's data only with the full consent of a parent or legal guardian. Data of persons under 16 years of age is kept under parental oversight.

Cookies and tracking

The KidiSafe website uses only technically necessary cookies. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

Policy changes

When this policy is updated, users will be notified via the Telegram bot. Updated policies take effect 30 days after publication.
